Overview

In this role you will own a portfolio of bid opportunities from qualification to submission, ensuring timely, coherent and compliant responses. You will plan, assign responsibilities, manage dependencies and align technical, commercial and senior stakeholders to deadlines. The position blends major framework bids with high-volume in-framework work, demanding disciplined governance and momentum. This hands-on ownership role focuses on delivering credible methodologies and timely inputs to win bids, contributing to critical water infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of bid opportunities from qualification through submission, clarification and post-tender review
  • Define plans, responsibilities and dependencies to keep bids on track
  • Coordinate inputs from technical, commercial and senior stakeholders to meet deadlines
  • Apply proportionate governance and maintain momentum across concurrent bids
  • Ensure all inputs, reviews and outputs are complete, coherent and submission-ready
  • Manage risk, programme and deliverables to support credible methodologies and win chances

Key requirements

  • Experience managing and delivering bids for a main contractor
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Ability to coordinate diverse contributors and keep inputs on schedule
  • Commercial awareness and ability to link pricing, programme, and risks to the bid
  • Experience controlling concurrent bids with clear programmes, matrices and action tracking
  • Pre-construction experience with operational, technical and commercial teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
  • APMP accreditation or bid/project management qualification is advantageous
  • Water-sector bidding experience is advantageous or transferable from civil engineering/infrastructure/MEICA
