Overview
In this role you support a large Birmingham-based private property company by handling commercial property transactions and landlord–tenant matters. You will work closely with senior management to manage acquisitions, leases, and disputes across a diverse asset portfolio. The role offers opportunity to influence asset management and enforce commercial debt remedies, contributing to a growing, in-house property team. You will apply strong drafting and negotiation skills to drive successful outcomes within a dynamic, multi-site environment.

Responsibilities
- Advise on and manage freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals
- Draft and negotiate commercial leases, licences, and related property documentation
- Support asset management, including lease renewals, variations, and agreements for lease
- Advise on rent reviews and manage dilapidations and related issues
- Handle forfeiture and relief from forfeiture matters
- Provide advice on a broad range of landlord and tenant issues
- Manage commercial debt matters and advise on enforcement options for breaches
- Resolve rights of way, boundary, and other property disputes; manage property-related contract disputes
- Handle a varied portfolio of litigation matters affecting the property portfolio
Key requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- Minimum of 5 years’ PQE
- Experience in Commercial Property and/or Property Litigation
- Strong understanding of landlord and tenant law
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Practical, business-focused approach
