In this permanent role, you lead on-site delivery as the No.1 Site Manager for a well-established main contractor in Oxford, overseeing new build and refurbishment works up to £5m. You’ll operate across occupied spaces, coordinating trades and maintaining safety, quality, and schedule. Your carpentry background supports hands-on problem solving as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success. Responsibilities

• Lead on-site delivery for new build and refurbishment projects up to £5m
• Coordinate subcontractors and trades to meet programme, quality, and safety standards
• Manage projects in occupied buildings and liaise with clients and stakeholders
• Ensure construction methods and workmanship align with requirements and codes
• Maintain site documentation, progress reporting, and issue resolution
• Support planning and sequencing to minimize disruption in occupied spaces

Key requirements

• Experience as No.1 Site Manager for a reputable Main Contractor
• Track record on new build and refurbishment projects
• Experience working in occupied buildings
• Carpentry background (preferred)
• CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid
• Able to commute to Oxford daily
