WiseMayarelookingforaproactive,detailorientatedInsurance Portfolio Manager to join a Global Reinsurer. Within this role you will lead and oversee the administration of insurance accounts and contracts, engagingwithinternaloperationsteamsandtheiroutsourcedunderwritingandoperationsprovidertodeliverstrategicoversightofdataintegrityacrossEnergy.
Thisisafulltime,permanentpositionwithhybridworking(3daysintheoffice/2remote)andtheworkinghoursare9am-5pm.
Insurance Portfolio Manager duties and responsibilities include:
- LeadandoverseetheadministrationofinsuranceandreinsurancecontractsforEnergy.
- Responsibleforthevalidationoffacultativeentriesandrisksinaccountingandunderwritingsystems,maintaininghighstandardsofdatagovernance.
- ProvidestrategicoversightofdataintegrityacrossassignedLinesofBusinesswhethermanagedinternallyorthroughoutsourcedpartners.
- OverseethecorrectinputandauditofTerms&Conditionsintheaccountingsystem,implementingrobustqualityassuranceprotocols.
- Ensurecompletenessandaccuracyintherecordingofaccountandclaimsadvices,drivingaccountabilityacrossteams.
- ServeasaseniorliaisonbetweenUnderwriting,Claims,brokers,cedents,andoutsourcedteamstoresolvecomplexdiscrepanciesandensurealignmentacrossstakeholders.
- Identify,document,andescalateissuesrelatedtooutsourceddeliverables,ensuringtimelyresolutionandcontinuousimprovement.
- Governoutsourcedinitiatives,ensuringadherencetocontractualobligations,qualitybenchmarks,anddeliverytimelines.
- Analyseandinterpretinternalreportstomonitorclientaccountsandperformancemetrics,providingactionableinsightsandstrategicrecommendationstoseniorstakeholders.
- Championknowledgesharingandcollaborationacrossinternalteamsandexternalpartners,fosteringacultureoftransparencyandcontinuouslearning.
- Communicateeffectivelyandconstructivelywithstaffandleadership,influencingoutcomesanddrivingengagement
- Leadtheorganisationandprioritisationofworkloadwithintheoutsourcedteam,maintainingSLAcomplianceandproactivelymanagingperformance.
- ExecuteInternalControlSystem(ICS)checksinlinewithapplicableguidelinesandactivelyassistUnderwritersinfulfillingthesecontrolrequirements.
- Supervisetheaccuracyandcompletedocumentationforunderwriting,accounting,andclaimswithintheDocumentManagementSystem(DMS).
- ConductpaymentsanctionsandembargoscreeningsbyreviewingrelevantlistsandescalatetoUnderwritingorLegalteamsforfurtherassessmentwhennecessary.
- Serveasakeypointofaccountabilityforbothinternalandexternalaudits,includingthoseconductedbythirdpartiesandlocalregulatorybodies.
- Overseecashflowactivities,includingthesetupofclientbankaccountswithintheaccountingsystem.
- EnsurethatProcessingofincomingandoutgoingpaymentsisaccurateandexecutedinatimelymanner.
- Trackandfollowuponoutstandingpaymentsandunresolvedbalancesrelatedtotheoutsourcedportfolioanddesignatedcontracts.
Insurance Portfolio Manager skillsandexperiencerequired:
- In-depthinsuranceandreinsuranceexpertise,withdemonstrableknowledgeworkingacrossEnergy.
- Extensiveknowledgeoftechnicalaccounting,settlementprocesses,cashmanagement,creditcontrolandbusinessreportingwithintheLondonMarket.
- Demonstrableexperienceworkingininsuranceoperations,supportingunderwritingteams.
- Previousexperienceworkingwithoutsourcedserviceprovidersishighlybeneficial.
- Proficientatbuildingandmaintainingtrustedrelationshipsacrossdifferentbusinessteams.
