Manager, Funds Tax, UK Locations

Overview

In this role you will lead UK tax reporting for EY’s Funds Tax client base and deliver technically complex consulting projects with a practical, business-focused approach. You will work within a specialist Funds Tax team in London, collaborating across EY service lines to pursue new business opportunities. You will coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to people initiatives and team strategy. Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for management of UK tax reporting delivered to the client base
• Delivery of technically complex consulting projects with a practical/business focus
• Pursuit of business development opportunities identified by other EY service lines
• Development support to junior team members through supervision, coaching and mentoring
• Contributing to people initiatives, including retention and training of the team
• Significant role in team management, strategy, operations and junior staff development

Key requirements

• ACA / Law qualification / Tax specialist qualification or breadth of knowledge equivalent to a Tax specialist qualification
• Strong tax technical skills
• Business development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work
• Experience of coaching and developing more junior staff
• Knowledge of the taxation of partnerships
