Head of IT Infrastructure – City of London

Overview

In this role you will lead IT infrastructure for a City of London bank, guiding the full project lifecycle from planning to delivery. You’ll work with senior management to upgrade hardware and software while ensuring resilience and performance. The position combines hands-on expertise with strategic oversight in a small team. Responsibilities

• Plan and manage IT infrastructure projects from design to delivery
• Deliver hardware and software upgrades
• Make decisions with senior management across projects
• Manage full project lifecycle and coordination within a small team
• Oversee Active Directory and SCCM server management
• Ensure Disaster Recovery readiness and testing
• Support Swift Messaging and messaging infrastructure
• Administer Windows Server environments
• Manage EMC SAN storage and related infrastructure
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels

Key requirements

• 7–10 years of hands-on IT infrastructure experience
• Experience progressing from 1st/2nd/3rd line support to project management or leadership
• Proficiency with Active Directory and SCCM
• Disaster Recovery experience
• Swift Messaging knowledge
• Windows Server expertise
• EMC SAN experience
• Strong communication across all levels
• Banking/financial sector experience is a plus
