Building Surveyor

Overview

In this Building Surveyor role, you will manage insurance-related surveying projects across the South, from inspection to completion. You will work within a respected, long-established consultancy that supports chartership and career progression. You will handle subsidence investigations, defect diagnosis, and repair oversight, collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams. The position offers autonomy, professional development, and recognition for your contributions in a client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage insurance-related building surveying projects from initial inspection to completion
• Undertake subsidence investigations, building inspections and defect diagnosis
• Produce specifications and schedules of works
• Carry out contract administration and oversee repair works on site
• Covering the South & Southwest with occasional overnight stays

Key requirements

• Building Surveying experience within insurance, defects or subsidence projects
• Strong communication and report writing skills
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel
• Keen to develop professionally with chartership support
