Logistics Operations Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the Market Drayton Depot logistics team to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-efficient operations. You’ll partner cross-functionally to meet KPIs and OGSM targets while enhancing customer service for internal and external stakeholders. You will drive continuous improvement and foster an inclusive, wellbeing-focused culture. This is a hands-on leadership role with a clear impact on efficiency, safety, and service in a leading dairy business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing logistics team
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems
• Manage depot operations including rota planning, staffing and cost control
• Deliver against KPIs and OGSM targets
• Drive customer service excellence for internal and external stakeholders
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
• Ensure legal compliance for drivers and vehicles
• Conduct performance reviews, training, and disciplinary procedures
• Drive an inclusive culture and promote wellbeing, diversity and inclusivity at site level
