We are looking for an outstanding,compassionateand experienced Senior Registered Nurse (RMN/RNLD) with a passion for delivering excellent care to join our team at Cygnet Paddocks in Widnes.
You’llbe working42 hoursper week, acrossdays,nightsandalternate weekends, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care.
You’llworka structuredrotaacross days,nightsand alternate weekends.
Yourrotawill include:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday,Saturdayand Sunday
- Week 2: Wednesday,Thursdayand Friday
- Day shifts: 8:00am to 8:30pm
- Night shifts: 8:00pm to 8:30am
This pattern gives you consistency, regular daysoffand the opportunity to build strong working relationships with colleagues and service users.
About Cygnet Paddocks
Cygnet Paddocks is our specialist neuropsychiatric rehabilitation hospital for men,locatedin Widnes in theNorth West. The service provides a dedicated care pathway for men affected byacquiredbrain injury or neurological conditions, wherebehavioursthat challenge may be the main barrier to recovery and rehabilitation.
The service supports the Level 1 Neuropsychiatric Rehabilitation Pathway for theNorth West, with a focus on adult males. Cygnet Paddocks has individually designed wards to support a clear and distinctive care and treatment pathway for people affected byacquiredbrain injury.
The in-house interdisciplinary team includes neuropsychiatry, psychology, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy,nursesand support workers, all working together to keep the individual at the heart of their care and discharge planning.
Cygnet Paddocks is rated Good overall by the Care Quality Commission, with the Caring domain rated Outstanding.
Your Day-to-Day
- Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations
- Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
- Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing
- Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer prescribed medicines with Healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines
- Complete on call duties
You are
- Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
- Experienced RMN/RNLD with a current Pin Number
- Capable to maintain documentation and undertake audits
- Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 & have an understanding of latest nursing practices
- Able to deputise in a clinical lead role
- Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk
- Helping to empower & support service user independence
- Trained and have experience in Senior Staff Nurse Role (RMN/RNLD)
