Overview
In this role you support a modern food manufacturing site by maintaining and improving electrical and control systems, with a clear path to deepen PLC and automation expertise. You will work closely with the engineering team on fault-finding, projects, and installation work to drive site improvements. The opportunity includes Mitsubishi PLC training and long-term development within a reputable UK manufacturer that values its people. You will help shape the site’s electrical/controls capability as it scales. This is a hands-on, permanent role with steady day-shift hours.

Responsibilities
- Support and improve site electrical/controls systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, drives)
- Fault-finding on plant issues and supporting the wider engineering team
- Continuous improvement and capital project support (design, installation, commissioning)
- Contribute to design and installation work including P&IDs, panel design and commissioning
Key requirements
- Electrical Engineer with some PLC/controls exposure, or a strong interest in developing into controls & automation
- Comfortable fault-finding and supporting production plant / manufacturing equipment
