Overview

As Security Engineering Manager, you lead a globally distributed team responsible for protecting cloud-native environments, CI/CD pipelines, and production infrastructure. You’ll guide technical direction, mentorship, and security excellence across multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) while partnering with software, DevOps, and product teams to bake secure-by-design practices into development. This role offers impact in threat modeling, vulnerability management, and automation to scale secure software delivery. You’ll help shape product roadmaps through rigorous security reviews and proactive risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a global Security Engineering team
  • Drive threat modeling and security reviews across architectures
  • Build security automation, policy-as-code, and CI/CD security checks
  • Define secure baselines for multi-cloud resources and Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS)
  • Oversee vulnerability management and software supply chain security
  • Partner with Detection & Incident Response to scale alert triage and remediation
  • Collaborate with Engineering and DevOps leadership to balance security and delivery velocity

Key requirements

  • 2+ years leading or mentoring security/DevOps/technical cloud teams
  • 7+ years in security engineering or security operations in cloud-native environments
  • Strong cloud security experience in AWS; working knowledge of Azure or GCP
  • Deep Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/AKS) and container security knowledge
  • IAM architecture and enterprise-scale identity security
  • IaC experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, or Pulumi) and automation scripting (Python, Go, Shell, HCL, Rego)
  • Practical web app security knowledge and threat modeling (OWASP Top 10)
