This is a full-time, permanent, in-person role working 40 hours per week across 5 days out of 7, including weekends and bank holidays.

The role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join a successful retail business in London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused retail professional who enjoys working with customers, developing teams and supporting the day-to-day success of a busy store environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager with the daily running of the store
  • Lead, motivate and support a team to achieve sales targets and KPIs
  • Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships with customers
  • Coach team members to improve confidence, product knowledge and performance
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing team development
  • Assist with stock management, operational processes and compliance
  • Maintain high standards across the store environment
  • Handle customer enquiries and help resolve any issues professionally
  • Support the delivery of a consistent and engaging in-store experience

About the opportunity

The person

  • Previous experience in retail leadership, ideally within premium, luxury or high-value retail
  • Experience managing or supervising a team
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets and commercial goals
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence coaching, supporting and developing colleagues
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A professional approach with strong attention to detail
  • The ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, results-driven approach to retail management
