Overview
In this role you will oversee and coordinate all Jazz programming and ensemble administration at Guildhall School of Music & Drama. You will partner with the Music Administration Department to deliver efficient event planning and orchestration for ensembles ranging from small combos to Jazz Orchestra. You will manage instrument inventory and maintenance, ensuring high-quality performances. The position offers a hands-on, impact-driven opportunity to shape jazz education and live performance at a leading conservatoire.
Responsibilities
- Organise and manage administrative support for all Guildhall School Jazz ensembles
- Plan and execute jazz performances from small groups to large Jazz Orchestra
- Oversee maintenance and management of specialist jazz instruments and equipment inventory
- Coordinate with stakeholders to meet deadlines and ensure efficient service delivery
- Provide comprehensive coordination for concert planning and execution
Key requirements
- Previous performance management experience in a conservatoire/performing arts setting
- Highly organised, motivated and articulate with strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organisational and communication skills; ability to meet deadlines
