Senior Consultant – Flood Risk & Drainage

Overview

In this role you will lead the delivery of flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and SuDS designs for developments across sectors such as property, aviation and renewables. You’ll work from feasibility through planning submissions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, sustainable solutions. You will guide junior colleagues, engage with clients and regulators, and produce high-quality technical reports. Responsibilities

• Lead and review Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
• Deliver SuDS design and drainage modelling using InfoDrainage or similar tools
• Support feasibility studies, masterplanning and planning submissions
• Engage with clients, regulators and internal project teams
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members
• Produce clear, concise and high quality technical reports

Key requirements

• At least four years UK experience in flood risk and drainage planning
• Strong user of InfoDrainage with solid SuDS design experience
• Confident with planning policy, drainage standards and the NPPF
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS
• Strong communication, leadership and report writing skills
• Organised, motivated and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
