Overview

In this role you will own the security architecture of client IT systems, guiding design and implementation to meet risk appetite and industry standards. You will translate business objectives into secure architecture, lead threat modelling and risk assessments, and articulate recommendations to senior stakeholders. You will also shape the Security Practice, coach juniors, and develop go-to-market collateral. This is a hands-on leadership role within a collaborative, security-focused team that delivers large-scale infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify business objectives, user needs, risk appetite and cyber security obligations
  • Identify vulnerabilities, perform threat modelling, undertake risk assessment, evaluate security controls
  • Verify alignment to Secure by Design, security policy/standards, and frameworks
  • Develop secure conceptual, logical and high-level designs with appropriate controls
  • Articulate and justify design recommendations at security architecture assurance gates
  • Create design documentation, risk assessments, stakeholder presentations for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Distill complex information into actionable discussion points and roadmaps
  • Develop Security Practice capabilities and provide coaching to junior members
  • Develop collateral to support security consulting go-to-market propositions
  • Develop and present client proposals in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Identify risks and emerging threats; lead risk mitigation planning
  • Collaborate with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd lines of defense on cyber security, data privacy and regulatory considerations
  • Challenge established processes to drive continuous improvement and ensure clear ownership of security risk mitigation

Key requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Cyber Security
  • Practical knowledge of NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NCSC CAF or equivalents
  • Deep knowledge of modern security concepts, attack vectors, malware, threat intelligence
  • 2+ relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CRISC) or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in areas like AD, Cryptography, IAM, PKI, Server hardening, SIEM, SOAR, VMware
  • Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
