Overview

In this role you own and grow strategic utility accounts across the UK & Ireland, shaping long-term partnerships and revenue growth. You will develop account plans, pursue opportunities, and influence commercial decisions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The position focuses on solving customer challenges in the utilities and energy infrastructure sector while contributing to TE’s growth and market share. You will engage with senior stakeholders and leverage market insights to build a robust pipeline for the future.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow strategic utility accounts across the UK and Ireland; build relationships with decision-makers and senior stakeholders
  • Develop and execute account plans to increase revenue, profitability, and market share
  • Identify, qualify, and progress opportunities, projects, and commercial agreements within the portfolio
  • Lead discussions on pricing, contracts, service, project delivery, and business priorities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure successful project execution
  • Use market insight and commercial data to shape strategy and build a strong future pipeline

Key requirements

  • Strong track record in key account management, business development, or technical commercial sales within utilities, energy, electrical infrastructure, or related industrial market
  • Experience developing strategic customer relationships and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Strong commercial awareness including negotiation, forecasting, and opportunity development
  • Ability to work effectively across internal teams and translate customer needs into practical commercial actions
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills in a senior customer-facing role
  • Degree in business, engineering, or related discipline beneficial, otherwise equivalent experience
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK & Ireland and a valid driving licence
