Quantity Surveyor

Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor in our Major Contracts team, you will safeguard project profitability from inception to completion. You’ll work across commercial, leisure and hospitality projects, collaborating with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to drive cost efficiency. You’ll manage tenders, procurement and final accounts, using established systems to keep projects on budget and on time. Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and capture client briefs accurately
• Prepare Bills of Quantities/Scope of Works from drawings
• Manage subcontractor and supplier procurement and contract prep
• Maintain procurement trackers and contract documentation
• Negotiate with stakeholders and manage variations
• Monitor costs, profitability, CVRs and waste gaps
• Handle invoicing, reconciliation, and final accounts
• Deliver full project tenders when required
• Ensure proper use of Concorde Project Portal and Egnyte systems

Key requirements

• Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction-based QS role
• Proficiency in MS Excel and IT systems
• Strong numeracy, attention to detail and time management
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Full UK driving license
• Positive, proactive team player with a can-do attitude
