Overview

As part of Prysmian’s Transmission division, you will drive sales and business development for large onshore/offshore HV cable projects across the UK & Ireland. You’ll lead tendering, contract negotiations and coordinate cross-functional teams to win major turnkey projects, including interconnectors and grid links. You will shape commercial strategy, develop tailored solutions and promote Prysmian’s value proposition. This role is central to expanding revenue streams through relationships with TSOs and developers, contributing to the company’s energy transition goals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop opportunities from early stages to contract closure to meet sales targets
  • Lead tender process and communicate bid strategy across the organisation
  • Coordinate offer preparation and ensure governance on commercial and risk management
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage clarifications with the wider team
  • Foster long-term client relationships and ensure high-quality customer service
  • Develop market knowledge and understand drivers of clients and competitors
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to set achievable sales goals and strategy
  • Implement sales strategies to achieve profitable growth and establish new revenue streams
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration across Sales and other departments
  • Support project teams on commercial matters during execution
  • Improve proposals quality and refine sales processes based on lessons learned

Key requirements

  • Degree level in a relevant business or engineering discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience in project and/or solution sales
  • Familiarity with power transmission infrastructure and cables industry
  • Ability to manage high-value turnkey/EPC bids
  • Strong business acumen and customer relationship skills
  • Problem-solving and risk management mindset
  • Team-oriented with ability to network and share knowledge
  • Willingness to travel within UK and across Europe
  • Technical aptitude for high-level engineering discussions
  • Knowledge of contractual texts and industry standard conditions
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
