In this role you will shape Elsevier’s long-term direction by leading enterprise-wide strategy planning and cross-functional initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning for Elsevier’s portfolio in collaboration with Finance and the strategy team
  • Develop mid- and long-term roadmaps, allocating resources effectively
  • Collaborate with EVP Strategy to shape the Elsevier strategy
  • Coordinate with Product, Technology, Marketing, Sales, HR, and Corporate Affairs to align priorities
  • Articulate strategy narrative and communicate direction to stakeholders
  • Support delivery of strategic reports to Leadership Teams and the Board; provide analysis for Investor Relations
  • Scoping and executing strategic projects with data and market analysis, synthesis, and recommendations
  • Drive cross-Elsevier strategic initiatives and track progress against objectives and metrics

Key requirements

  • Ability to lead portfolio-level strategic thinking in a complex organisation
  • Experience creating strategic roadmaps and translating priorities into action plans
  • Strong stakeholder management with influence across senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities including market and data analysis
  • Experience leading strategic projects from scoping to execution and recommendation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
