is looking for a resilient and committed
Teaching Assistant
to support young people who may have experienced exclusion, disengagement, challenging behaviour or difficulties accessing mainstream education.
This isn’t a role for someone who expects every day to be straightforward. It’s for someone who understands that
building trust, setting clear boundaries and giving a young person another chance
can be the first step towards getting them back on track.
The Role
Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basisHelp young people re-engage with educationBuild positive relationships with students who may be resistant to supportSupport learning across the curriculumManage challenging behaviour calmly and consistentlyHelp pupils develop emotional regulation and positive coping strategiesSupport students during lessons, transitions and less structured periodsEncourage attendance, engagement, confidence and resilienceWork alongside teachers and pastoral staffContribute to a safe, structured and positive environmentWho We’re Looking For
You could be an experienced:PRU / AP Teaching AssistantSEN Teaching AssistantBehaviour MentorLearning Support AssistantYouth WorkerSports CoachSupport WorkerPrevious PRU or SEMH experience is highly desirable, but it’s not the only thing we’re looking for.
