Job Type: Fixed-term (12-months maternity cover) (37.5 hours per week)

AstheleaderofourShortBreaksService at Gowlands, you’llbeatthehelmofmanagingandgrowingour9-bedpropertythatprovidesrespitestaysand supports up to 100individualswithlearningdisabilitiesandautism.
Yourroleiscrucialinmakingsurewedeliverexceptionalcare,staycompliant,andrunour serviceefficiently – whilstensuringourmission,visionandvaluesarenotcompromised.YouwillalsobekeyindevelopingtheCharityasitseekstoevolveitsservicesandreach.
Service Management:Overseeing operations and developing strategies to enhance and grow our service, whilst managing the budget and staffing requirements and ensuring we deliver care that truly reflects our charity’s mission and values.
Team Leadership:Recruiting, leading, mentoring, monitoring and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for our dedicated staff.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:Ensuring we meet CQC requirements and exceed care standards, whilst implementing and overseeing quality assurance processes, such as gathering feedback from guests and colleagues to keep improving our care.
Stakeholder Engagement:Building lasting relationships with guests, families, and local authorities and their placement teams. You will also represent, advocate and unify the Charity, ensuring every aspect aligns with our values and goals.
Business Development:Identifying opportunities for service innovation and expansion and preparing and presenting such cases to the Senior Leadership Team.

We are seeking candidates with:
- Proven experience managing care services for individuals with learning disabilities or autism.
- Has a demonstrable track record of leading teams or services that have achieved an overall ‘Good’ CQC rating.
- Excellent leadership skills, with a commitment to our values.
- Business acumen and budget management experience.
- Enthusiastic communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Level 5 Diploma or the equivalent in Leadership for Health and Social Care.
- You hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
- Able to work flexibly, which might include weekends and bank holidays. You might also be asked to work in different services as needed.
