Associate, Financial Services Law – Jersey

Overview

As an Associate in an award-winning offshore law firm, you will handle a range of corporate, banking and regulatory matters for a diverse client base. You will draft, research and provide sound legal advice while developing cross-jurisdictional business opportunities. The role involves contributing to regulatory and compliance work and, where relevant, Jersey offshore law knowledge. You will collaborate with peers and clients, driving solutions and working as a strong team player in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle corporate, banking and regulatory matters for diverse clients
• Perform drafting and legal research with high quality outputs
• Engage in business development across jurisdictions
• Support regulatory and compliance initiatives
• Communicate effectively with peers, staff and clients

Key requirements

• 3–5 years PQE
• UK, Jersey or Commonwealth legal qualification
• excellent drafting, research and interpersonal skills
• strong technical ability
• comfortable with business development across jurisdictions
• good working knowledge of banking, corporate and commercial law in a regulatory regime
• knowledge of or willingness to learn Jersey offshore law
• self-motivated with drive and a solution-driven attitude
