Overview

In this role you will support the Head of IT to shape and implement the firm’s IT strategy within a financial services context. You will oversee infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity while ensuring service continuity and governance. You will lead IT projects, manage budgets and vendors, and mentor the IT team. This is a high-impact position that combines technical leadership with regulatory and risk-focused oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Support the IT Head in designing and implementing IT strategy
  • Oversee IT operations including infrastructure, applications and cybersecurity
  • Act as deputy for cybersecurity monitoring and incident response
  • Assist in budgeting, vendor management and procurement
  • Collaborate with group IT and business units to align policies and deliver IT solutions
  • Maintain and test Business Continuity and disaster recovery plans
  • Monitor workload and performance to ensure reliable production systems
  • Provide coaching and knowledge-sharing to IT staff
  • Lead or support IT projects with planning, resourcing, tracking and risk management
  • Prepare reports for Senior Management and the Board

Key requirements

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Solid IT experience including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, networks and related areas in financial services
  • Experience in managing an IT team and delivering projects
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, ITIL processes and incident management
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk controls in financial services
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to coach and develop distributed teams
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation capabilities
  • Knowledge of Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery frameworks
  • Working knowledge of networking, firewalls, CUCM, cybersecurity tools and cloud/infrastructure technologies
  • Experience with trading systems and back-office integrations (advantageous)
