Overview
In this role you help improve environmental performance of infrastructure projects and support the UK’s net zero commitments. You’ll coordinate environmental inputs across the EIA lifecycle within a large UK&I team, collaborating with cross-functional specialists. You’ll work on a portfolio of major developments and contribute to high-quality environmental assessments and strategies. Responsibilities
- Coordinate environmental inputs to EIA screening, scoping, and Environmental Statements, including technical review of specialist chapters
- Assist across project life cycle from strategy through design to construction and operation
- Work across multiple consenting regimes (DCO, TCPA, TWA, hybrid Bill)
- Ensure deliverables meet high quality standards
- Develop and apply project management skills (planning, budgeting, resources)
- Collaborate with integrated design teams to identify constraints and mitigation/benefits
- Maintain direct client contact and coordinate with internal supply teams
- Support business development and promotion of environmental services
Key requirements
- Degree in a relevant environmental discipline; professional membership
- EIA consultancy experience including coordinating environmental reports and reviewing specialist chapters
- Understanding of relevant consenting regimes (desirable DCO/TWAO)
- Ability to work in a team and coordinate inputs from specialist teams
- Developing project management skills (programming, budget)
