HGV Class 1 Night Driver (xo)

Job Overview

PVNW have an opportunity for Class 1 night drivers to work at one of our clients in PURFLEET ESSEX.

Responsibilities

• Distribution / Collection of full trailer loads of timber.
• No handball required.
• Loads are the driver’s responsibility; ensure that they are strapped and secured at all times (experience with curtains and strapping required).

Requirements

• Driving Class 1 with at least 1 year of experience for UK‑based companies.
• Driver CPC (required).
• Valid UK Category C licence.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Full CPC card, driver qualification card.
• Good knowledge of the Highway Code, EU driver hours and Working Time Directive.
• Assessment required including a theory test and driving assessment.

Schedule & Hours

10‑hour shift, Monday–Friday 18:00 pm to 02:00 am.

No weekends or bank holidays.

Typically depot‑to‑depot long‑distance runs.

Closed at Christmas.

Job Type & Salary

Temporary contract, Temp to perm.

Salary: £18.00 – £24.00 per hour.
