Overview

In this role you will deliver employment taxes advisory services for a prestigious client portfolio within Deloitte’s Tax & Legal practice. You will lead or support key elements of client relationships, proactively identify innovative tax solutions, and mentor junior colleagues, all while developing technical expertise in a dynamic legislative environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with complex tax law interpretation and HMRC engagement
  • Identify employment tax matters impacting corporate transactions and due diligences
  • Research employment tax case law and precedents
  • Advise on tax treatment of remuneration (salary, equity, benefits, expenses)
  • Attend structured development programmes and maintain technical knowledge
  • Lead client meetings where appropriate and support HMRC disputes
  • Deliver quality advisory work and consider tax implications of remuneration structures
  • Collaborate in diverse teams and support junior staff

Key requirements

  • Strong understanding of current employment tax legislation
  • Qualified or part-qualified with ACA, CTA and fully qualified at ATT (or equivalents)
  • Ability to analyse and apply legislation to client scenarios
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and work under pressure
  • Experience in client engagement and development of new business
