We’re recruiting on behalf of one of Edinburgh’s most respected hospitality groups for an experienced and passionate Senior Sous Chef to join a busy, high-quality kitchen operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys working with fresh ingredients, seasonal menus and a talented team in a fast-paced, professional environment. You’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in delivering consistently exceptional food while helping to motivate and develop the brigade.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the Head Chef with the smooth operation of the kitchen
- Leading and inspiring the team during service
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
- Assisting with menu development and seasonal dish creation
- Managing stock, ordering and food cost controls
- Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are always met
- Training and developing junior chefs
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous Chef ready to step up
- A passion for fresh, seasonal cooking
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- High standards and attention to detail
- The ability to thrive in a busy kitchen environment
- A positive, hands‑on approach and a genuine love of hospitality
