SEND is considered a whole-school priority, and the successful SENCO will have the backing of senior leadership alongside an established team of Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and specialist professionals.
The SENCO Role
As SENCO, you will have the opportunity to lead, develop and influence SEND provision across the entire school.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading the strategic development of SEND
Managing and reviewing EHCPs
Coordinating annual reviews
Ensuring statutory SEND requirements are consistently met
Identifying pupils requiring additional support

Who Are We Looking For?
You will be a qualified teacher with QTS and have strong experience working with pupils with additional needs.
Applications are welcomed from experienced SENCOs, Assistant SENCOs, Inclusion Leaders and SEND specialists looking to take the next step in their career.
The successful candidate will combine excellent SEND knowledge with strong leadership, organisation, communication and strategic thinking.
Above all, you will have high expectations and believe that additional needs should never limit a young person’s ambitions.
Why Consider This School?
This is not a SENCO position where you will be expected to manage an overwhelming caseload without support.
You’ll inherit an established provision, experienced support staff and a senior leadership team committed to investing in SEND.
For an ambitious SENCO, there will also be opportunities to develop your wider leadership responsibilities with potential progression towards Assistant Headteacher or whole-school Inclusion leadership.
