Senior Cost Manager

Overview

In this Senior Cost Manager role, you will drive cost control and forecasting on major infrastructure projects, collaborating with clients and delivery teams to keep programs within budget. You’ll develop commercial insight, manage contract changes, and support value engineering to maximise project outcomes. The position sits in our Manchester cost management team, with strong emphasis on development and training to progress to senior levels. You’ll work across transportation, utilities and highways, contributing to a high-impact project portfolio. Responsibilities

• Establish professional relationships with clients and project stakeholders
• Administer contracts aligned with project objectives and policies
• Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to budget
• Monitor cost variance and cash flow, ensuring timely applications
• Collaborate with client and contractor teams to deliver KPIs and objectives, including programme performance, cost control and value engineering
• Manage contract changes within governance and best practices
• Improve forecast and budget accuracy
• Provide commercial support to stakeholders
• Negotiate and settle final accounts
• Lead people and commissions as needed
