Our client

Our client is a well-established and highly specialised automotive engineering business based in West Sussex, with a strong reputation within the luxury automotive sector.

Position Overview

• Operate CNC turning and milling machinery to manufacture components.
• Set existing CNC programmes, fixtures and tooling.
• Create and validate new programmes using CAD/CAM software.
• Work with engineering and production teams to optimise complex component manufacture.
• Carry out first-off inspections and support quality control.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and programming issues.
• Manage machine utilisation, materials and upcoming production requirements.
• Identify improvements to processes, tooling, routing and drawings.
• Support the development of new programmes, fixtures and manufacturing solutions.
• Maintain accurate production records and contribute to continuous improvement.

Position Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant CNC machining experience.
• Haas, Heidenhain, SolidWorks and CAMWorks experience is essential.
• Experience setting and modifying CNC programmes.
• Experience creating programmes using CAD/CAM software.
• Experience machining castings and forgings would be advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and manage priorities.
• Automotive experience or an interest in automotive engineering would be advantageous.

Position Benefits
