Senior/Principal EIA Consultant

Overview

In this role you apply EIA expertise to coordinate statutory and non-statutory assessments across major developments, driving sustainable change. You will work in a multidisciplinary team within Ramboll’s UK Impact Assessment department, supporting projects from due diligence through consent and compliance. You will engage with clients, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development while delivering high-quality environmental outputs. Responsibilities

• Project management and coordination of environmental baseline data collection and interpretation
• Prepare and review reports (due diligence, EIA screening/scoping, Environmental Statements) and manage spatial data for figures
• Coordinate key technical and commercial aspects of project delivery
• Support business development through fee proposals, tenders, and marketing materials
• Mentor junior team members and support team leadership
• Build relationships with Ramboll colleagues, suppliers, and clients
• Engage with clients at meetings and networking events

Key requirements

• Relevant project delivery experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Keen for professional development and progression
• Experience applying UK environmental consenting processes and EIA regulations
• Bachelor-level qualification in environmental disciplines (with preference for Master’s degree advantageous)
