Senior AI Engineer

Overview

In this role you will build large-scale AI-powered systems to transform debt and legal workflows. You will lead end-to-end model development, from research to deployment, and mentor peers as AI capabilities scale across the company. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate complex problems into actionable projects and iterate quickly on innovative solutions. You will help push the adoption of AI at 9fin, delivering practical, high-impact ideas that improve decision-making and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and build generative AI applications for financial and legal workflows
• Drive end-to-end model development lifecycle including reproducible research and deployment
• Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor teammates
• Translate complex problems into scoped bets in a fast-paced internal startup style
• Learn, apply and iterate on ground-breaking AI research with a fail-fast mindset
• Advocate for widespread adoption of AI across the organisation

Key requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python for production-ready delivery
• Deep understanding of GenAI landscape and agentic frameworks
• Hands-on experience in NLP, Information Retrieval stacks, and LLMs
• Experience with full model lifecycle (experimentation, training, testing, monitoring, deployment)
• Good knowledge of AWS AI infrastructure
