Senior Associate, European Real Assets Debt Capital Markets

Overview

In this role, you will support the Debt Capital Market team in London to source and execute debt financing for European real assets equity strategies. You will work with internal and external CRE debt stakeholders across the loan lifecycle, from origination through drawdown, while monitoring loan performance and identifying refinance opportunities. You will help manage credit approvability, negotiate facility documents, and stay ahead of market developments to optimize facilities. Responsibilities

• Assist lead originators in the new borrowing lifecycle: RFPs, lender correspondence, modelling, facility agreement/security documentation negotiation, and drawdown processes
• Advise on watch-listed and non-performing loans with actionable recommendations
• Monitor loan performance and compare to underwriting standards and business plans
• Support lender credit with concession/waiver requests and related guidance
• Serve as liaison between internal and external parties (legal, valuers, property management, lenders)
• Monitor market developments and assess impact on facilities; develop facility-specific measures
• Take ad-hoc exposure to projects to improve loan and hedge reporting or transactional banking opportunities

Key requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in commercial real assets financing in Europe
• Expertise in debt due diligence and transaction management
• Experience underwriting and/or managing performing and non-performing loans; granular property knowledge
• Familiarity with LMA structured finance
• Excellent time management and ability to work autonomously
• Strong analytical, written, verbal, and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and market research services
• Knowledge of European languages (German, Dutch, Italian, French, or other) advantageous
