An established and highly regarded regional constructioncontractor is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager tojoin its growing operations team.

The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful Site Managerwill take responsibility for the effective day-to-day managementof construction activities on site, ensuring projects aredelivered safely, on programme, to the required quality standardsand within agreed commercial parameters.
You will lead the site team and coordinate subcontractors,suppliers and other stakeholders, maintaining a professional andwell-organised site environment throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the construction site. Take overall responsibility for site health, safety andenvironmental standards. Ensure works are delivered in accordance with the programme,drawings, specifications and quality requirements. Lead, manage and motivate site-based teams and subcontractors. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site activities tomaintain programme progress. Monitor workmanship and ensure quality standards areconsistently achieved. Attend and contribute to progress, coordination andsubcontractor meetings. Maintain accurate site records, reports and relevantconstruction documentation. Identify and resolve issues efficiently, escalating whereappropriate. Monitor site progress and communicate key information to theProject Manager and wider project team. Maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants,subcontractors and other project stakeholders. Promote a culture of collaboration, professionalism andcontinuous improvement. Support the successful commercial and operational delivery ofthe project.
The Candidate
We are looking for an experienced construction professional whois confident taking ownership of a site and leading teams tosuccessful project completion.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience working as a Site Manager within the maincontracting environment. A strong understanding of construction processes and sitemanagement. Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multipletrades. A thorough understanding of health, safety and environmentalrequirements. Strong organisational and communication skills. The ability to read and interpret construction drawings andspecifications. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to deliveringhigh-quality work. The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectivelyunder pressure. A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach. Relevant construction qualifications, such as SMSTS, CSCS andFirst Aid at Work.
