The Role

Ready to gainreal-world projectmanagement experience? From your firstday, you’ll becomepart of aproject team, supportingProject and ProgrammeManagers to deliversuccessful projects forour clients. You’lldevelopan understanding ofhow projects areplanned, managed anddelivered, while workingalongside a rangeofconstructionprofessionals.

What does aProject Manager do?

Project managers overseethe construction processfromplanning throughto completion, ensuringprojects are deliveredsafely, on time, within budget andto the highestquality standards.

You’ll gain exposureto areas including:

  • Project planning– helping to establishproject objectives, programmesand milestones
  • Team coordination– working alongside architects, engineers,contractors and clients
  • Cost and budgetmanagement– supporting project controlsand monitoring progress
  • Programme management– helping keep projectson schedule andidentifying potentialrisks
  • Quality and compliance– understanding constructionstandards, governance andregulations
  • Client communication– assisting with meetings, reports andprojectupdates

Your responsibilities willinclude (but arenot limited to):

  • Supporting Project andProgrammeManagers with thesuccessful delivery ofprojects
  • Assisting with projectadministration and maintainingproject documentation
  • Preparing reports, presentationsand meeting minutes
  • Supporting contract administrationactivities where appropriate
  • Helping monitorproject progress, risksand key deliverables
  • Assisting with financialand quantitative recordkeeping and checkingproject information
  • Contributing to clientmeetings and projectreviews
  • Supporting business developmentactivities and bidpreparation where opportunitiesarise

  • Be currently studyingtowards a degreein Project Managementor another builtenvironment discipline,with a12-month industrialplacement forming part ofyour course
