Overview

In this role you drive cost discipline, procurement excellence and risk management across the Riverside South development. You will partner with senior stakeholders and external advisers to deliver transparent, value-for-money outcomes while meeting governance controls. You’ll manage budgeting, cash-flow forecasting and procurement strategy to enable timely, cost-effective delivery. This position offers visibility across a high-profile redevelopment within Global Real Estate and a opportunity to shape major urban development with rigorous oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a robust, value-for-money project budget and adjust for scope or market changes
  • Lead budget alignment and drive value engineering and design optimization
  • Build and maintain an integrated project cash-flow forecast
  • Reconcile project budget with business-as-usual budgets to optimize fund allocation
  • Contribute to the procurement strategy across core and shell, fit-out, amenities and contracts
  • Assess contractors for covenant strength and capability to select best-in-class teams
  • Manage end-to-end tendering: market engagement, pre-qualification, bid evaluation and recommendations
  • Support negotiations to protect value and reduce delivery risk
  • Review cost consultant deliverables and provide clear challenge and direction
  • Oversee change management, contingency planning, forecasting and decision support
  • Monitor risk and governance processes, including progress payments and final accounts

Key requirements

  • Experience in cost and commercial management on large-scale construction or real estate development
  • Experience owning budgeting, forecasting and cost control through full project lifecycle
  • Proven ability leading tendering processes from pre-qualification to recommendation
  • Procurement strategy development and supplier/contractor evaluation
  • Experience reviewing cost plans, options analyses and change/variation impacts
  • Strong risk management skills including costing risks and mitigation actions
  • Experience in a governed environment with audit and monitoring
  • Strong stakeholder management with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills for senior-level reporting
