Overview

In this role you will lead finance‑led support for high‑profile M&A and equity capital markets transactions within Deloitte’s EFT. You’ll work alongside senior stakeholders and cross‑discipline teams to manage complex deals, including carve‑outs, consolidations, and IPOs, ensuring robust financials and governance. The opportunity combines client‑facing engagement with hands‑on technical finance work, in a collaborative, international environment. You’ll influence deal outcomes and support the broader EFT platform while developing leadership across the team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead finance‑driven transaction support across M&A and ECM deals, including complex financials, due diligence, and cross‑border considerations
  • Coordinate and manage workstreams and teams in intricate transaction environments
  • Prepare and present finance board documents and Audit Committee papers; communicate with CFOs and senior finance stakeholders
  • Support transaction readiness, execution, and completion across the finance function and operating models
  • Provide end‑to‑end assistance in carve‑outs, combinations, and separations with strong technical accounting
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external advisers (banks, lawyers, PR, FCA) to deliver end‑to‑end transaction services
  • Contribute to wider EFT propositions (M&A Finance, complex financials, equity capital markets, governance)
  • Travel to client sites and other Deloitte offices as required
  • Work with senior client stakeholders to ensure high‑quality service delivery and stakeholder management

Key requirements

  • ACA qualified or equivalent qualification
  • Significant experience in M&A across private and public transactions
  • Experience leading teams and managing workstreams
  • Strong technical accounting and finance track record
  • Broad financial and commercial experience in professional services or corporate environments
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with ability to influence at all levels
  • Experience supporting finance functions through transaction readiness, execution and completion
  • Experience in complex financials, carve‑out, combination or separation environments
  • Understanding of finance operating models, processes and controls in a transaction context
  • Experience working with CFOs and finance leadership
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
