Associate Principal Threat Intelligence Analyst

Overview

In this role, you will identify and analyze threats to Rockstar’s Live Service titles and the broader organization. You join the Game Security team to protect players, employees, and IP, contributing to investigations and threat monitoring. You will lead complex investigations, drive improvements in workflows, and stay ahead of the evolving threat landscape. You operate in a collaborative environment that values expertise, proactive security, and impactful incident response.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prevent fraudulent or malicious behavior using OSINT, internal tools, and investigative methods
• Own complex investigations with data collection and synthesis from multiple systems
• Maintain intelligence on relevant subjects and emerging threats
• Ensure consistent, high-quality investigative reporting and intelligence outputs
• Support response efforts for security incidents and escalations as needed
• Drive process improvements, including automation and tooling to scale investigative workflows
• Develop and maintain reporting to measure program effectiveness and inform decision-making
• Stay current on emerging technologies, investigative techniques, and threat landscapes

Key requirements

• 8+ years professional experience in threat intelligence, investigations, or similar roles
• Strong expertise in intelligence gathering, monitoring, and investigative reporting
• Experience conducting complex investigations across digital platforms
• Proficiency with data analysis tools and systems (e.g., SQL, Hadoop, or similar)
• Experience with link analysis methodologies and tools
• Familiarity with legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations related to investigations
• Background in threat intelligence, open-source intelligence or internal/external investigations preferred
• Familiarity with security assessment tools and monitoring systems

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
