Overview

Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to lead geoenvironmental projects in contaminated land, groundwater and hydrogeology. You will work within the Energy and Resources Group, guiding field investigations, data interpretation, risk assessment and technical reporting. The role blends technical delivery with mentoring and business development to support growth. You will influence remediation strategies and client decisions, helping sites return to productive use. This is an opportunity to shape major projects in a collaborative, growth‑miented team.

Responsibilities

  • Scope and manage field investigations
  • Design, manage and supervise groundwater sampling and aquifer testing
  • Interpret data and conduct risk assessments
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings to clients
  • Communicate results to clients and stakeholders
  • Mentor junior staff and support their development
  • Contribute to business development and client engagement
  • Work across the full project lifecycle (planning to delivery)

Key requirements

  • Degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or Geology; MSc preferred but not essential
  • Chartered or actively pursuing chartership with a recognised body
  • Experience in groundwater studies for contaminated-site management; consulting environment preferred
  • Ability to design, manage and supervise ground investigations
  • Experience with groundwater sampling, soil and gas data interpretation, and risk assessments/technical reporting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; capable of leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Interest in technical leadership and supportive of career development
