BCG X Global PA AI Strategy & Portfolio Manager

Overview

In this role you will shape and govern a portfolio of AI-powered assets across Practice Areas, aligning business priorities with AI-driven initiatives. You will collaborate with PA leaders and X teams to determine investment trade-offs, monitor ROI, and drive portfolio performance. The position sits at the intersection of strategy, product, and technology, offering high-visibility exposure to senior leadership. You’ll help scale agentic offers while fostering transparency and reuse across the firm.

Responsibilities

• Define portfolio vision and guardrails for agentic assets in remit
• Establish and enforce governance standards including stage-gate criteria
• Identify synergies across products/offers/PA
• Balance portfolio maturity, innovation, and reuse potential
• Advise buy-or-build decisions and support funding prioritization
• Provide portfolio performance insights, risks, and ROI to stakeholders
• Support budget prioritization and annual planning for portfolio
• Contribute to metrics and dashboards for asset performance
• Manage governance forums, materials, and escalation pathways
• Support alignment across Offer, Topic, and Sector Managers around shared outcomes
• Build dashboards/reports and leverage tracking tools for governance
• Champion shift toward agentic offers and responsible innovation

Key requirements

• 6–8 years of relevant experience
• Experience managing a portfolio of AI-powered offers with investment accountability
• Understanding of product lifecycle management from ideation to sunset
• Familiarity with PA structures, offer management, and client economics
• Experience with governance frameworks and stage-gate processes
• Technical literacy to engage on AI product architecture and data governance
• MBA or similar Master’s degree preferred
