Senior Support Worker
We’re looking for a Senior Support Worker to support the manager at Parker House. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s ready to take the next step in their career.
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in leading shifts, mentoring and developing support staff, and role-modelling excellent practice day to day. You’ll work closely with the manager, people we support, their families, and wider professionals to make sure support is delivered consistently and to a high standard. Above all, you’ll be helping the people we support live gloriously ordinary lives, full of choice, opportunity, and the everyday things that matter most to them.
No two days are the same in this role. You might be supporting someone to try a new hobby, supporting to coordinate the team’s rota, helping someone reach a personal goal, or stepping in to guide and support a colleague through a tricky situation. About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the manager to lead and coordinate shifts, ensuring staffing levels and rotas run smoothly
- Support, supervise, and mentor support workers
- Support people to take part in everyday activities, build skills, and pursue their own goals
- Maintain accurate records, including support plans, incident reports, and daily logs
- Liaise with families and healthcare professionals
- Act as a role model for best practice and uphold safeguarding standards

About you
Of course we welcome you if you’ve been a care assistant or support worker, but experience isn’t necessary. If you share our values, are warm, friendly and willing to learn, you’re likely to be a great fit.

Driving Licence: A valid UK manual driving licence is essential for this role
