Job Description:

Overview

In this role you will build practical AI tools and patterns to improve Playtech’s workflows and products. You will partner with teams to turn ideas into real, scalable AI solutions while promoting safe, responsible use. You’ll stay ahead of AI trends and drive adoption across a multi-product, regulated environment. This is a hands-on position in Playtech’s AI Centre of Excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop practical AI tools, prototypes, and applications to enhance workflows and productivity
  • Create reusable AI templates and patterns for enterprise adoption
  • Design agentic workflows with APIs to support complex processes
  • Share insights through demos and workshops and guide AI adoption across teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered solutions
  • Improve solution quality, cost, and performance through design and optimisation
  • Identify AI risks and ensure responsible usage
  • Contribute to AI standards, governance, and best practices
  • Mentor others and raise the overall AI engineering bar

Key requirements

  • Strong engineering background with hands-on AI/ML/LLM system experience
  • Experience designing platform-level capabilities (APIs, SDKs, shared services) for internal consumption
  • Ability to communicate trade-offs, mentor others, and partner with stakeholders
  • Practical understanding of modern AI tooling (LLM APIs, vector stores, RAG, evals, agent frameworks, Cursor)
  • Knowledge of software architecture and Git version control
  • Delivery-focused mindset in a large, regulated, multi-product environment
  • Familiarity with cloud services and DevOps practices (optional from list)
