About you
- Full membership of a recognised accounting body (e.g., CAI, ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA)
- Recent experience working in a finance-related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial systems (experience with Sage 200 preferable)
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proactive, with a commercial mindset and problem-solving approach
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
What you’ll do
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including profit analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage month-end activities such as journal postings, accruals, and prepayments
- Create detailed management reports for senior stakeholders and the Board
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling, including cash flow and covenant monitoring
- Ensure compliance through preparation of VAT, regulatory, and statutory returns
- Support external audits with documentation and responses to queries
- Drive continuous improvement of financial controls, reporting, and data quality
- Mentor and support junior team members in finance operations
