Job Description:

An established professional services firm is seeking a Legal Accounts Assistant to join its finance team.

Salary: £27,000 – £31,000 pro rataHours: 20-25 hours per week, Monday-FridayBenefits: Pension, Health Cash Plan, Death in Service

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing daily receipts, payments and bank transactions
  • Maintaining client and purchase ledgers
  • Assisting with fee invoicing, reconciliations and credit control
  • Processing supplier invoices and authorised payments
  • Managing petty cash and employee expenses
  • Supporting month-end and year-end finance activities
  • Assisting with audit and compliance requirements
  • Providing cover for the Senior Bookkeeper when required

The Person:

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in an accounts, finance or bookkeeping role
  • Accounting Technician or bookkeeping qualification desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional approach
