Seismic Acquisition Specialist

Overview

In this role you optimise the design and execution of complex seismic acquisition surveys, using Concept Systems’ software tools. You will support expanding into emerging markets like logistics planning and port management, where planning, monitoring and reporting add value. You also mentor Acquisition Analysts and contribute to ongoing product development. The position blends onshore and offshore work, with flexibility for hybrid or remote arrangements onshore.

Responsibilities

• Analyse historic datasets to inform future seismic acquisition design
• Support data management including data handling, recording, and tracking
• Communicate with clients professionally and proactively
• Supervise and mentor Seismic Acquisition Analysts
• Collaborate with internal development teams on product development
• Monitor acquisition performance for operational efficiency and data quality
• Develop and deliver operational acquisition plans based on analysis and project requirements
• Troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and provide timely reporting
• Provide operational feedback to support product design and improvement, and liaise with clients as needed

Key requirements

• 2+ years professional experience in the seismic industry
• A mathematical, science or GIS degree, or relevant work experience in the seismic industry
• Ability to learn

• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals at all levels
