Site Engineer

Overview

As a Site Engineer, you will oversee delivery on large-scale schemes valued 10–200m, ensuring work aligns with contract drawings and specifications. You will lead on-site setting out, QA, RAMS preparation, and coordination of subcontractors to maintain program and quality. You’ll work closely with the project team to integrate safety, risk management, and accurate reporting into daily site activity. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to influence delivery across multiple regional projects within a Tier 1 contracting environment. You will engage with cross-functional teams to drive reliable, quality-focused construction outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate direct site labour and subcontractors
• Produce and approve RAMS for on-site activities
• Ensure setting out and dimensional control within tolerances
• Maintain up-to-date drawings, specs, and contract documents
• Support the project team to meet contract quality requirements
• Record, submit, and monitor non-conformance reports (NCR)
• Ensure project programme is communicated to the supply chain
• Manage and coordinate sub-contract packages
• Induct site personnel and ensure compliance with safety policies

Key requirements

• Degree, HND or Equivalent
• Strong experience in a similar site/engineer role
• Demonstrable experience in setting out large scale schemes
• Valid driving licence
• SMSTS
• 1st Aid and CSCS Card
