In this role, you drive delivery of utility infrastructure projects within complex, fast-paced settings, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time outcomes. You lead planning, stakeholder collaboration, and risk management to align with a Project Execution Plan and achieve KPIs. You champion safety, sustainability, and client-focused outcomes while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and managing changes. Responsibilities
- Determine project management, technical services and external resources required for projects
- Lead and supervise project teams and stakeholders to achieve KPIs
- Monitor health, safety and wellbeing across project lifecycle
- Prepare and update project plans and ensure relevance
- Oversee budgets, timelines, risks, and mitigations
- Ensure robust quality systems and clear stakeholder communications
- Record and manage project meetings, site walks, and contextual analyses
- Collaborate on risk management and carbon emissions reductions during delivery
- Coordinate with all project parties and ensure task ownership and proper records
- Document changes and track project changes
- Support net zero carbon transition through proactive sustainability practices
Key requirements
- Proven experience delivering utility infrastructure solutions (power, gas, water, telecom) across new connections, diversions, protections
- Strong knowledge of safe excavation practices (HSG 47)
- Understanding BWIC and CDM Regulations
- Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Sound decision-making based on project criticality and outcomes
- Experience building long-term client relationships and leading high-performing teams
- Professional membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent development
- Significant experience in delivery phases of utility projects and programmes
- Expertise in property or infrastructure project management
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Experience leading elements of large multi-disciplinary projects
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders
- Understanding of carbon and sustainability priorities influence on project strategies
