Freelance Health and Social Care Tutors
to join our Adult Skills provision to deliver Level 3 Adult Health & Social Care programmes.This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality training and support to adult learners undertaking industry-recognised qualifications within the social care and education sectors. Delivery will be a blend of face-to-face classroom sessions and tutor-led online learning.Tutors will deliver one or more of the following programmes:Level 3 Certificate in Understanding the Principles of Dementia CareLevel 3 Certificate in Understanding the Care and Management of DiabetesLevel 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental HealthThis hybrid position involves delivering high-quality, engaging training that supports learners in achieving their qualification and advancing their professional practice. The role follows a
25% face-to-face and 75% online delivery model , with tutors typically delivering
one day in person each week
and the remainder onlineThe ideal candidate will have recent occupational experience within social care, education, or a related field, together with a genuine passion for helping learners achieve their personal and professional goals.What is a Freelance Tutor at LCG?A Freelance Tutor is a self-employed professional who delivers training on an ad-hoc basis. You will work on behalf of Learning Curve Group, delivering engaging short courses and vocational qualifications to adult learners aged 19+ within your area of occupational expertise. You will play an important role in helping learners develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to achieve their goals and progress into employment or further learning.Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching, Learning and AssessmentDeliver engaging, high-quality face-to-face & remote teaching sessions across a selection of the qualifications.Create an inclusive, supportive, and learner-centred environment that promotes participation and achievement.Assess learner performance and provide the underpinning knowledge required to ensure qualification requirements are met.Facilitate learners’ understanding.Provide timely, constructive, and developmental online feedback to support learner progression and achievement.Monitor learner progress and implement appropriate intervention strategies where required.Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of learners with differing abilities, learning styles, and support requirements.Ensure all teaching, learning, and assessment activities meet awarding organisation standards and internal quality requirements.Essential Requirements3+ Years of Occupational competence within your subject areaTeaching qualification (AET/PTLLS/CAVA/TAQA etc)Comfortable with travel within the regionEnhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)Right to work in the UKAbout the roleFreelance Contract (0 hours per week, Ad Hoc)£23 per hourBased in Nottingham and surrounding areas (Derby, Newark & Mansfield)Looking for someone to deliver a minimum of 2-3 days per week (Monday-Friday)Typical delivery hours: 9:00-15:00Level 3 cohort delivery can take up to 15 working days (average)Apply for this opportunityJoin us in transforming lives through learning across the East Midlands
