Finance Business Partner

Overview

In this role you will partner with Schroders’ Wealth Management FP&A team to support the WM COO and related functions. You provide forward-looking financial insight, challenge performance, and help shape strategic initiatives. You translate financial data into actionable recommendations to drive business outcomes and ensure alignment with strategy. You will work across Transformation, Operations, Technology and Data, contributing to value creation and transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted finance advisor to WM COO and cross-functional teams; support decision-making division-wide
• Provide commercial insight on investment cases, cost optimization, and strategic initiatives
• Translate performance into actionable recommendations and identify risks/opportunities
• Shape budgets and forecasts with robust assumptions aligned to strategy
• Conduct scenario modelling and forward-looking analysis for planning
• Support strategic initiatives, transformation programmes, and benefits tracking
• Challenge inputs and maintain alignment between reported performance, forecasts, and business narrative
• Interact with stakeholders to ensure consistent governance and performance messaging

Key requirements

• Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
• Experience in FP&A, commercial finance or transformation financials
• Proven business partnering experience with ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting decision-making in complex environments
• Experience in financial analysis, planning, and performance management
• Excellent analytical capability and ability to translate data into narratives
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Wealth Management experience with exposure to Operations, Technology, Data and Transformation (advantageous)
• Experience with HFM and Power BI (advantageous)
