Solutions Architect

Overview

In this role you will act as the technical lead for global merchant payments projects, shaping enterprise-grade architectures from discovery through delivery. You will work closely with sales, product and engineering to optimise payment performance, improve customer experiences and unlock revenue, guiding technical conversations across the customer lifecycle. Your focus is on designing scalable payment architectures and providing trusted guidance to both technical and executive stakeholders. This is a collaborative fintech environment where you influence product strategy and partner with cross-functional teams to impact payment technology globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery workshops and solution design sessions with customers
• Translate business requirements into scalable, enterprise-grade technical solutions
• Support enterprise sales opportunities, RFPs and customer presentations
• Design payment architectures across orchestration, acquiring, routing and payment methods
• Create API integration strategies and technical solution documentation
• Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure solutions are viable and aligned to product strategy
• Present technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders including senior leadership
• Act as a trusted advisor throughout the customer lifecycle

Key requirements

• Significant experience in Solution Architecture, Technical Consulting, Solutions Engineering or Technical Pre-Sales
• Strong payments industry background
• Experience with payment orchestration, PSPs, acquiring and routing
• Strong understanding of Visa, Mastercard and alternative payment methods
• Experience designing and delivering API-based integrations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to bridge technical and commercial discussions
